Summer was full.
Full of family and friends.
Of beach and mountains.
Of planning and preparing
for our upcoming changes.

Yesterday marked the end of summer break at our house
and the beginning of several new chapters.

For Berkley, it was the last first day of school as he begins his senior year.
For Sierra, it was the first day of high school.
For me, it was the first day of a new job.
For Hadley, it was the first day of school in a new place.

We have high hopes for a fantastic year!

Today, we begin packing up our house.
Three weeks from today, we will be in our new home!
We are full of anticipation and emotion as we
begin seeing boxes fill and shelves empty.
Many thoughts and memories are running through my mind today.

We grow and are stretched through change.
It can be hard, uncomfortable, intense.
As we're riding these waves of change,
I pray that we will each be open to what
God has for us in their midst.
