So far, 2012 has been a year of change in the Kirsche household.
We've been following God's direction to a new church home.
We've seen our homeschooling journey end and a new season
of school begin for our family.
We've seen my role change significantly, as I've started an "official" job
teaching art at my children's school.
We've gone through the adventure of having our home on the market
(in this market) and selling it.
We move on Friday.
In a way, it feels like we must be moving far away,
with so much change happening at once.
But we're not.
God is just shaking things up for us.
And that's a good thing.
We all need to be shaken a bit sometimes.
Get uncomfortable.
Spend more time on our knees.
That has certainly been happening here.
We want to follow where He is leading us,
to discern His will for our family,
to be obedient.
We see His hand at work and see glimpses of
what He is doing
but the full picture is not in view.
So we pray
and trust
and exercise our faith.
It is here,
in this place of being shaken,
uncomfortable,
in the midst of change,
where growth can happen.
And I want to grow!
To be all that I was created to be--
as a child of God, a wife, a mother,
a teacher, a friend.
I want to be teachable and pliable,
in the midst of His perfect will.
We have seen evidence of His faithfulness
throughout this journey of 2012.
The transition to school has gone smoothly
for my girls and I am so thankful.
I am enjoying my job
and grateful to work with so many Godly people
and great students.
We are settling in at our new church home
and getting connected.
Pieces of the puzzle falling into place.
Thank you, Jesus.
We are just not sure where we will call home
in 7 days.
This adventure continues,
a story too long to share now.
I'll wait to see the final outcome before I share it with you.
We'll know soon enough, won't we?!!
However,
we know that He will continue
to guide us,
because He is good and faithful and true.
And wherever we land,
we'll be just fine,
because we will still be in the palm of His hand.
Please join us on this adventure--
we would be grateful for your prayers over the next few days!
