Life is not offering much in the way of margins
at the moment.
A busy work schedule coupled with a side of four
(yes, four) basketball games this week
makes for little down time.
I'm gasping for air a bit,
to be honest.
I don't mean to complain.
I do enjoy watching my kids play sports.
All the things on my schedule are good things,
not hard or stressful things.
And not all weeks look like this one.
(thank goodness!)
But I did want to pop by and say hello
in the midst of the craziness.
So I decided to revive a post theme
I did a few times last spring/summer.
Maybe you're having a busy week, too.
Hopefully this will bring a smile to your face,
arm you with a quick and yummy dinner idea,
and remind you that whatever life looks like at the moment,
you are not alone in this.
……..
a picture
a song
an idea for dinner
……..
Resting in the sun.
(sounds great right now…)
Timshel.
(love me some Mumford & Sons)
Three ingredient pasta dinner:
1. Trader Joe's sun dried tomato and basil chicken sausage
2. 1 can TJ's marinara sauce
3. 1 bag TJ's cheese ravioli
Remove casings from sausages. Crumble and cook
over medium heat until browned.
Add marinara. Stir occasionally until heated through.
Cook ravioli in boiling water for 8 minutes.
Drain and serve with sauce.
This sausage is so flavorful you don't need to add anything else,
not even salt and pepper.
Chop up a quick salad while your noodles are boiling and
your sauce is heating.
A healthy and tasty meal in 20 minutes.
The end.
Here's to finding margin in all our lives!
I am in love with doggies face :) Pure relaxation!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourites-Timshel. And yes on that recipe!
ReplyDeleteThis is an especially busy-stressful-no air-can't figure it out- kinda week. Thank you for reminding me that I'm not alone!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on being tired and worn down from the busy schedule, and I feel like you're busier than me, so I can't imagine how worn our you are.
ReplyDeletecould listen to that song all day long. :)
