The Cottage (Before & After).

We are now officially landlords!
Our first tenant moved into our sweet little cottage
on Saturday and we are excited to have him.

You may remember when I showed you the cottage here.
There were two things that we really wanted to do
before renting it:
 add a stacked washer/dryer
and paint the walls and cabinets.
Done and done.

This is what the cabinets looked like before:

And here were the existing kitchen colors:

The walls in the living room, bedroom and bathroom were all neutrals.
We decided to paint the walls throughout the house
in Sea Salt by Sherwin Willliams.

Here are what they look like now:
What a pleasant, soothing color!

{The previous owners left the couch and the rug is one we're
not using--the cottage is rented "semi-furnished". :)}

Here is what the kitchen looks like now:

We painted the walls Sea Salt,
the upper cabinets, shelves and wall space between
we painted a standard white.
The lower cabinets are Retreat by Sherwin Williams
{three colors down on the color chart}.

I love how painting everything white makes it look
like custom cabinets!

We painted the inside of all the cabinets white, too.
Crisp and clean!

The cottage is now a perfect little space.
……..

I'm excited to show you soon what's been happening in
the girls' bathroom…it's super fun! :)

Have a lovely one, dear ones!

  2. I can't believe that a difference all that paint made in that amazing little cottage.
    LOVE it.

    Yay for being landlords!
